Q1: Which email address should I use to log into thisisschool.com?
β A: Make sure that you use the same email address that you are registered with on ClassLink.
Q2: How does the sync with ClassLink happen?
β A: thisisschool.com syncs with the ClassLink servers every day at 1900 EST. We take whatever data has been provided to ClassLink from your school or district and we use that as the new data for our database. If there is no change to the data in ClassLink when the sync time comes around, we donβt change anything!
Q3: On ClassLink I share a class with another teacher. How will this work on thisisschool.com?
β A: On thisisschool.com the class will belong to the teacher who is listed as the Primary Teacher in ClassLink.
Q4: Iβm having issues accessing thisisschool.com through ClassLink. My school is rostered but I canβt log in. What should I do?
β A: First of all, please contact your system administrator to make sure that you have been added to ClassLink. If they confirm that you have, and you still cannot log in, please email classlink@thisisschool.com with a screenshot of any errors you are seeing and weβll look into it for you.
Q5: My school just made changes to my classes on ClassLink but the changes aren't showing up on thisisschool.com. Why is that?
β A: These changes will be reflected on thisisschool.com after we run the daily sync at 1900 EST.
Q6: My school is rostered through ClassLink and now I can't add students, teachers or classes through thisisschool.com. Is this normal?
β A: Yes! Once your school or district is rostered through ClassLink, we disable all editing tools on thisisschool.com as per ClassLink's requirements. If you need to make any changes to your students or classes, you should contact your administrator. Sadly, we can't make any changes at our end!
Q7: My school started rostering through ClassLink for the first time this year and I can still see all of my classes from last year on my account. What should I do?
β A: You can tell which classes have been rostered for you through ClassLink by looking for the blue 'ClassLink' label. To avoid any confusion, you can archive your old, non-ClassLink classes by following these instructions.
Q8: My school is rostered through ClassLink but my classes have not been set up correctly/I'm missing some classes. What should I do?
β A: First of all, please check with your system administrator that all of your classes have been added to ClassLink correctly. If they have, please email classlink@thisisschool.com with the name of your school, a description of the problem and any screenshots that might be relevant. We'll look into it for you!
Q9: My school is rostered through ClassLink but when my students log in, they can't see any of the work I have assigned for them. What's going on?
β A: Please make sure that your students are logging in with the accounts that have been set up for them via ClassLink, and not with an old account from a previous year.
Q10: My school is rostered through ClassLink but one of my students is missing from my class. What should I do?
β A: The first thing to do is to check with your system administrator that the student has been correctly added to ClassLink. If they have been and they're still not showing up on thisisschool.com, email classlink@thisisschool.com with the details and we'll take a look.
Q11: There's an issue with my/my students' ClassLink portal. What should I do?
β A: Your district's system administrator will be able to help you with anything to do with the portal and its apps.
