All you need to know about the Avatar Store!
Why has my Avatar changed?
Our new Avatar store was designed based on user feedback to achieve two things:
to be able to make more inclusive and diverse Avatars
to give value to the points students earn
You now have the option to buy an extensive range of custom assets (backgrounds, clothing, hairstyles etc.) and accessories to personalise your avatar. You can also show off how many peanuts you have earnt by wearing the most expensive items!
How can I buy new clothes and accessories?
You can earn peanuts, thisisschool.com’s reward currency, by completing assignments and exercises on the website. The number of peanuts earned for each exercise depends on the length and difficulty of the exercise.
To purchase new assets:
Visit the store by clicking the icon from the homepage or your name in the top-right corner.
Choose the asset you would like to buy, and click confirm.
Remember to save your avatar to keep wearing your new asset.
What’s the difference between lifetime peanuts and the peanuts in the jar?
Your lifetime peanuts show you the total number of peanuts you have ever earnt. The peanuts in your jar are those you have available to spend. When you buy something, the number of peanuts in your jar will decrease.
When the new Avatar section was launched, all students were given 250 peanuts in their jar to spend – so that long-subscribing students couldn’t buy the whole store on day one!
