Vocab trainer
Our Vocab Trainer teaches and tests students on all of the required vocab from all exam boards, all in one place!
Flashcards complete with images and native-speaker audio familiarise students with the spelling, meaning and pronunciation of words.
Once they’re ready, students move on to typing the words out independently, in response to an English prompt.
As with all of the exercises on the site, Video Vocab is automatically marked meaning that students get instant feedback and the chance to correct their errors.
When students make a mistake, they will be asked to copy out the correct answer and will then be re-tested on the words they got wrong, at the end of the exercise.
Thanks to this automatic marking and correction, students can use the Vocab Trainer to improve their spelling and vocabulary recall completely independently.
Small, manageable groups of words, plus coins and points help increase student engagement and motivation.
N.B. students need to get at least 75% in the Vocab Trainer exercise for it to be marked as completed!
