Exercise points

Exercise points

Jigsaw

Students earn 1 point for every correct answer they give.
On the Jigsaw exercise, students will earn points the first 3 times that they play. After this they can continue to play but will not be able to earn any points, to encourage them to try a new exercise. This will be reset after two days.

Comprehension

Students earn 2 points for every correct answer they give.

Video Vocab

Students earn 2 points for every correct answer they give.

Vocab Section

Students earn 2 points for every correct answer they give.

Gap-fill

Students earn 2 points for every correct answer they give.

Nutty Tilez

Students earn 1 point for every correct answer they give when competing.
Students can earn a maximum of 200 points per level in Nutty Tilez. Once they have reached this limit they can continue to play but will not earn any points. They should choose the Level Up option to move on to the next level as they have clearly mastered all the words!

Grammar

Students earn 25 points for completing the grammar training on any topic.
After doing the training, students can Test Out, where they earn 2 points for every correct answer.

When you set a grammar task for your students, they have to Test Out in order to complete the exercise!

Points limits and capping

Students will no longer earn points from an exercise once they have achieved full marks, to encourage them to move on to a new one.
If a student repeats an exercise and gets a better mark than previously, they will only get the points that represent the difference between the scores.
e.g. if a student gets 8 out of 10 comprehension questions correct the first time, they will receive 16 points. If they then repeat the exercise and get 10 out of 10 they will get 4 more points.
Once they have achieved the maximum score, students can continue to complete the same exercise but they will not earn any more points to encourage them to move on to new exercises.
