Peanuts and Points

Peanuts and Points

After much consultation with and feedback from teachers and students, we introduced our This is School currency: Peanuts! đźĄś

“Peanuts” have replaced “Points”. E.g., where previously a student would have earned 2 points per correct answer they will now earn 2 peanuts.

There are 2 huge benefits to this change:

Students can buy cool new items in our store with the peanuts they earn whenever they complete work on This is School.

There had previously been confusion about score vs points. Now, teachers and students can see a clear difference between Score and Peanuts:
Score = the % that a student scores on any given exercise.
Peanuts = the corresponding peanuts they earn for that exercise.

Other than this name change and the introduction of our store, nothing has changed! Go forth and earn those peanuts…

Students will now also see a clear distinction between:
Lifetime peanuts = all the peanuts that they have ever earned on my.thisisschool.com
Current peanuts (in a jar) = the peanuts that they have left to spend
