The avatar store

All you need to know about the Avatar Store!

Why have the Avatars changed?

Our new Avatar store was designed based on user feedback to achieve two things:

To be able to make more inclusive and diverse Avatars
To give value to the points students earn.

Students now have the option to buy an extensive range of custom assets (backgrounds, clothing, hairstyles etc.) and accessories to personalise their avatar. Students can also show off how many peanuts they have earned by wearing the most expensive items!

How can students buy new clothes and accessories?

Students can earn peanuts, This is School's reward currency, by completing assignments and exercises on the website. The number of peanuts earned for each exercise depends on the length and difficulty of the exercise.

To purchase new assets:

Visit the store by clicking the icon from the homepage or your name in the top-right corner.
Choose the asset you would like to buy, and click confirm.
Remember to save your avatar to keep wearing your new asset.

What’s the difference between lifetime peanuts and the peanuts in the jar?

Lifetime peanuts are the total number of peanuts a student has ever earned. The peanuts in the jar are those they have available to spend. When students buy something, the number of peanuts in their jar will decrease.

Why can’t teachers buy more assets?

The simple answer is because teachers cannot earn peanuts through completing exercises on the website.
Teachers have more free assets available to choose from than students.

I want to see more assets!

If you have ideas, suggestions, or requests for new avatar assets or features, you can leave feedback via the feedback function on the top-right corner of the avatar store.
