A quick guide to Nutty Tilez

A quick guide to Nutty Tilez

What is it?

Nutty Tilez is a real time multiplayer vocab game that teaches and tests students on the key vocab they need to know in a fun and fast-paced way.

There are 50 levels in total and each level introduces at least 20 new words so, by the time your students complete Nutty Tilez, they'll have mastered 1000 key words!

Students can access Nutty Tilez independently, allowing them to proactively build and reinforce their understanding of key pieces of vocabulary, whenever and wherever they want!

How it works:

On your This is School teacher or student account, click on the Nutty Games button.

Choose the Global Game (you can read more about Custom Nutty Tilez here.)

Click on your highest available level and revise the vocab that you'll be tested on in the pop-up window. When you're ready, click Play.

The website will match you up with other students from around the world to start the 60-second vocab battle! You need to type the words in the target language quickly and accurately into the box in response to an English prompt. (n.b. Use the hot keys to insert accents if you need to!)

If you get 3 answers right in a row, you'll get a bonus word. The word will be displayed in the target language and all you need to do is copy it out - it's as easy as that!

Each time you get an answer wrong, you'll lose a peanut. You only have 5 peanuts per game - if you lose them all, it's game over.

If you successfully complete the level, you'll then be able to click on the orange Level Up button. In the Level Up battle, you'll compete against the infamous Demon Dante and you must get all of the words right in order to unlock the next level!
