Gap-fill

Gap-fill

Language subjects

Gap-fill is designed as a follow-on activity to the Video Vocab and tests students on the inflected forms of the same vocabulary taken from the video.

As they watch the video, students are asked to type the missing words into the correct gaps in the transcript.

The typing element of this exercise tests students’ spelling in the target language and, at the higher levels of difficulty, their ability to agree adjectives and conjugate verbs according to the context of the video.

Non-language subjects

Gap-fill is designed as a follow-on activity to the unit explanation and tests students on their understanding of the topic.

Students are asked to type the missing words into the correct gaps.

As with all of the exercises on the site, Gap-fill is automatically marked, meaning that students get instant feedback and the chance to correct their errors. Perfect for independent work!
